The Monsters Squad™ - The Creative Manifesto

​1. WE ARE HERE TO TELL STORIES.
Not to preach. Not to lecture. Not to turn children's entertainment into a political classroom.
We believe that great storytelling begins with imagination, characters and a great story not with an ideological checklist. The Monsters Squad™ was created to entertain, to surprise, to make children laugh and to open the door to a world where anything is possible.

2. STORY FIRST. ALWAYS.
Every character, every episode and every creative decision must serve the story.
We are not interested in creating characters simply to satisfy trends, quotas or cultural expectations. We ask one question: “Does this make the story better?” If the answer is yes, we do it. If the answer is no, we don't. No matter how fashionable it is.

 

3. CHARACTERS, NOT LABELS.
Our monsters are individuals. They have personalities, dreams, fears, flaws, friendships and conflicts. They can be strange. They can be ridiculous. They can be brave. They can be selfish.
They can be vulnerable. They can grow. But they are never created merely as political or social symbols. They are characters first.

 

4. NO POLITICAL AGENDA.
The Monsters Squad™ is not designed to tell children what political, cultural or ideological position they should adopt. We don't believe entertainment needs to become a lecture in order to have meaning. A story can communicate values without preaching. 
Friendship can teach something. Courage can teach something. Loyalty can teach something. Being different can teach something. And sometimes...a story can simply be fun.

5. BEING DIFFERENT IS OUR SUPERPOWER.
This is the heart of The Monsters Squad™. Not a political slogan. Not a demographic category. Not an ideological statement. Just a simple idea: You don't have to be like everyone else to be extraordinary. Our monsters are different. That's precisely why we love them. We don't want children to feel that they need to fit into a predetermined box, but neither to be forced to follow new trends propaganda. We want them to discover their own strengths. Their own imagination. Their own personality. Their own identity. Their own superpower.

6. NO TOKENISM. NO FORMULAS.
We don't believe characters should exist simply to satisfy a representation checklist.
We don't believe every story needs to reflect every contemporary debate. And we don't believe creativity should be dictated by whatever cultural trend happens to dominate the conversation today. Trends change. Great characters don't. Great stories don't. Imagination doesn't.

 

7. LET CHILDREN ESCAPE.
Children already live in a world full of arguments, division and adult problems.
Entertainment should sometimes give them permission to leave all of that behind.
Enough algorithms deciding what they should think. We want to give them something else:
A door into another world. A world of monsters as metaphor for embracing uniqueness not trendy labels for pleasing trending propaganda. A world of friendship, chaos, laughter and adventure. A world where imagination is still allowed to be imagination. Give them a world where imagination has no limits. Let children escape into a story.

 

8. CREATIVITY DOESN'T NEED PERMISSION.
We believe creators should be free to be strange. Free to experiment. Free to take risks.
Free to make something unexpected. Free to tell a story without first asking whether it fits the latest cultural formula. We will listen to our audience. We will respect our audience.
But we will not surrender our creative identity simply to follow a trend. We would rather be original than fashionable.

 

9. THIS IS NOT ABOUT HATING ANYONE.THIS IS NOT ANTI - ANYONE.
It is about choosing what we want to create. There is room for different stories. Different creators. Different audiences. Different philosophies. We don't need to attack somebody else's worldview in order to defend our own. But neither should we be expected to adopt someone else's worldview in order to create ours. We choose independence. We choose imagination. We choose storytelling.

The Monsters Squad™ is PRO-FREEDOM OF CREATIVE EXPRESSION.

 

We don't want to tell children what to think.
We want to give them something worth thinking about.
We don't want to teach them which labels to choose.
We want to show them characters worth remembering.
We don't want to lecture them about being different.
We want them to discover that difference can be powerful.

 

And above all:
WE WANT THEM TO HAVE FUN.
 

Because before entertainment became a battlefield...It was supposed to be entertainment.
